Snacking! Do you like snacking throughout the day? Do you get hungry, but struggle with having snacks with you or not knowing what to eat?

Well one of my favorite snacks (usually mid afternoon) is hummus with veggies or pita! Now of course, you could just buy hummus in the store. But if you eat A LOT of hummus like me, you may realize it can get expensive. Tahini is fairly expensive, but it really will save you $$ in the long run.

Here is how to make original hummus with 4 ingredients!

First, get all your ingredients ready. You will need a can of drained chickpeas, chopped garlic, tahini paste, and olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon tahini paste

  • Olive oil, as needed

Preparation

Step 1: Gather and prep ingredients.


First, get all your ingredients ready. You will need a can of drained chickpeas, chopped garlic, tahini paste, and olive oil.



Step 2: Add to food processor or blender.


add all ingredients to a food processor or blender. I use my Ninja which I use for just about anything :)

First, add the chickpeas. Then garlic…I used about 3-4 cloves, but can use as much as you want depending on how garlicky you want the hummus to be. Then tahini…about 1 tablespoon. Lastly, olive oil!!



Step 3: Blend/pulse as needed


Pulse then add more oil as needed.



Step 4: Add olive oil as needed.


Enjoy with your favorite veggies or pita!
