How do you know if a plant based lifestyle is for you? Well first, let's discuss who a plant based lifestyle may not be for especially as a runner. I give you 4 reasons why this lifestyle isn't for you. 








A plant-based lifestyle is not for…

  1. Those that think eating plant-based is a diet or don’t think they can stick with it long-term - the best diet or way of eating is the one you can stick to in the long-term

  2. Anyone with a diagnosed eating disorder or epilepsy (seizure disorder) - a low carb diet is recommended and a whole-food plant-based diet is not low carb

  3. You if you don’t like to eat or don’t like vegetables or open to trying and eating more vegetables - this will be very challenging for you, especially as an athlete, you may be eating every 2-3 hours

  4. You don’t value your health, the environment, or animals - if you don’t care about any of these things, it may be challenging for you to stick to this way of eating
